Chris Bagg

Chris has been involved in education at almost every moment of his adult life, going back to his days as a environmental education teacher on the coast of Maine in the early 2000's. He has taught high school English, coached soccer teams, and has run his own coaching business, now CBCG, since 2011. Nearly by default, he identified his talent in triathlon after college and has raced as a professional triathlete since 2006, training under Cliff English since 2009. Since then he clinched multiple professional podia spots, perennially placing at what is now Challenge Penticton, and recently finishing with a 8:35 iron-distance result as the top American at the 2015 Challenge Roth. He serves as the director of the U.S. Masters Swim group at Nike World Headquarters, an assistant coach for Cliff English, and Head Coach for CBCG.

Chris' fondest hope is that his athletes are not only faster under his tutelage, but happier and more complete human beings, as well. What you get from Chris is a consummate educator, someone who will listen deeply to your goals and race reports, and then work with you to achieve your goals. But the proof is in the pudding: he has guided athletes to age group and professional podia, and led several to shave over an hour off their half- and iron-distance times, in addition to achieving that "general happiness" that is central to his coaching philosophy.
